Re: Peeron crosses 2000 inventory mark!

(...) Thanks for an excellent job, making Peeron a very valuable ressource for the community. I like the FAQ, very useful. I think it really covers many of the questions often asked. A few things I am missing though, are that when doing an inventory (...) (22 years ago, 13-Nov-02, to lugnet.db.inv)

I am somewhat in favor of blasting violent people with violent retaliation, but I do fear that to some extent such activity can breed future violence. Many (...)   Re: Star Destroyer (savouring it !)

(...) Well, to make all logo's face only one single way is impossible, because often you have to place rectangular parts with their largest length sideways or vertically upwards. As I explained, you need no less that 3 prefered directions. And all (...) (22 years ago, 9-Nov-02, to lugnet.general)

Oh, I think Steve knows our style real good now :) Seriously, I agree, though I'm less concerned with the RCX (which, after seeing Robert Ziman's bowling pin entry for rtl11) than the breaking of beams and other Technic components.   Re: Getting diagonal track to line up properly?

(...) It's pretty much impossible actually. I'd like to be able to just side-step a track in by one straight's length (16 studs) for a layout, but the only way to do it with correct geometry is to branch it in with a point and leave the straight-on (...) (...) Thanks Larry, I know I could have done something prettier with the spurs but I had to limit myself to the track that came with the MOT kit, plus the cross-track kit, plus one set of points. I think I get what your talking about. I've tried making all the logos face the same way before too, except it gets hard on corners and is near impossible for big sets. I did build that way for my Imperial Shuttle though. Hasta La Vista, Sean (...) (22 years ago, 7-Nov-02, to lugnet.general)
