Re: Problems with Christianity and Darwinism

(...) Because the necessary level of proof for your claim is considerably smaller than the necessary proof for Tom's claim and mine. Again, if you can provide even one example of a way to visit God physically, you'll singlehandedly eliminate any and (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Problems with Christianity and Darwinism

(...) See Larry's post here: (URL) source you quote on abiogenesis doesn't discuss evolution as a force in living things, presumably since it is irrefutable, and eminently observable.   Re: Technic Aeroplane

Great model! I tried to figure out the joystick design for some time and I think there is a mistake in the instructions - It seems to me that there should be only two gears inside the inner box. With three gears I think left-right movement will be (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build)

Re: New parts and LEGO Racers

(...) Out of curiosity, I bought the 4571 "Spiky" racer and was surprised to find how small it actually was. The main part of the chassis is the size of a 2x6 brick with the wheels sticking out each side and the bumpers on each end (wheels and (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jan-01, to lugnet.general)

Hi, No your exactly right. I had a second more in depth look. The third gear will, as you say, make any movement impossible. The gear to take out is the one that was partially hidden - to the right of the picture, on the side with 4 gears on the (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Reviving old cybermasters with MacNQC

Hi all, yes I know, this group has been dormant for quite a while - however when digging through my older Mindstorms items last weekend, I also found two cybermaster units and became curious if they were still operational.   How to fix a failing touch sensor on Spybotics

Hi all, I recently got hold of a - previously ignored - Spybotics model (I never really considered them to be of interest until I got one cheap and found the kids like it). Yes, they are fairly outdated, however they hook up to my Mac just fine over (...) (14 years ago, 10-Mar-11, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

Bruce, you have a valid point in the larger context. I just think it's OK to quote fictional characters if there's merit in the thoughts of the author behind them. That's all. And I think it's OK to quote voices in your head too, but I digress. (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Status of RIS 2.0??

What is the status of version 2.0? It has gotten impossible to find older sets. Fry's has a couple that have been opened and are missing software (and possibly parts), but they will only drop the price to $179. What a rip-off! (24 years ago, 30-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.robotics)

I took a second look at it. when you put on the upper plates (pic 6) it's hard to see the gear, but in pics 3,4,5 it's quite obvious - three gears inside the inner box, one of them connected to the same axle as the pulley (making left-right movement (...)
