Out of curiosity, I bought the 4571 "Spiky" racer and was surprised to find
how small it actually was. The main part of the chassis is the size of a 2x6
brick with the wheels sticking out each side and the bumpers on each end
(wheels and bumpers are permanently attached). There are four studs for the
hood piece to fasten to in front and the same for the engine piece in back.
In the middle is a "peg" the driver fits over and when the grey bumper hits
something the peg flips up and throws the driver from the car (the peg in
the middle makes it impossible for a minifig to sit in the car).
The box claims 8 pieces are included. These are:
Chassis x1
Hood piece x1
Engine piece x1
SPUD driver x1
A plastic carry case that also "launches" the car x1
Black rubber band x2
Sticker sheet x1
Worth $2.97? Not in my opinion, but the Walmart I bought mine at sold out of
its intial shipment in less than a week.
Well, that was probably more than you wanted to know. BTW, what color is the
hood piece in the studio sets?
