In their FAQ they mention that they have to add balalst to the fan unit to achieve nuetral bouyancy so we could probably get a bit more lift by removing that... hmm. I gotta get me one of these : ) (25 years ago, 3-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

This will not work. Imagine a straight line that you want to follow. Drive for 5 seconds, allowing to drift to one side or the other. Does anyone know how to do drift correction? I have tried 4 different ways, but they all don't work. Is it a difference in wheel circumference? Or is it something with the programming? I looked at the IR systems, and it looks like the would work very well for anything up to 3 feet. I think it ought to be easy to connect the sensor leads to an analog or digital interface(I don't know, maybe a more electronics literate person will (...) Does anyone know if the LEGO Outlet still has the Black Thunder Model Team set? Even though it is supposedly still part of the product line for 99, the only place that seems to carry it anymore is S@H. By any chance, are they clearing out old stock (...)
