Re: Building equality one female minifig at a time.

(...) LOL! You reveal your own ABS sexism by assuming that the woman would have to be decapitated! Why not yank off the man's head instead? Or why not include a headless body with the pair of heads alongside? Dave! (17 years ago, 28-Jun-07, to lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

Re: Building equality one female minifig at a time.

(...) I don't know how I feel about including a decapitated woman's head in every LEGO set. Doesn't seem to send the right message about gender equality. -Lenny (17 years ago, 28-Jun-07, to lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

Re: How much does a weight brick weigh?

(...) Easiest place to look is BrickLink, which has a lot of the weight data: (URL) to them: Weight Brick 2x6x2 = 53.3 grams 2x4 Brick = 2.32 grams Of course, as I recall BrickLink weights were slightly on the high side-- not sure how that affects (...) (17 years ago, 28-Jun-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: How much does a weight brick weigh?

(...) I did some looking around BrickLink and found the what their scales read for the 2x6x2 weight brick and a 2x4 brick- 2x6x2 = 53.3 grams 2x4 = 2.32 grams So... 53.3/2.32 = just under 23 (22.9 something) Meaning it takes 23 2x4's to equal one (...) (17 years ago, 28-Jun-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Building equality one female minifig at a time.

(...) I built my own: (URL) Well, this one is Batwoman, but the concept would be the same. Catwoman's face under Batman's cowl works pretty well. -Elroy (17 years ago, 28-Jun-07, to lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

  Re: Brick-built hopper

(...) Very nice, especially given the limited LDD palette. Only one suggestion, and it's an easy one too, add one or two 2x2 round plates under each of the round top hatches to bring them level with the catwalks on the roof. Benn (17 years ago, 28-Jun-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

How much does a weight brick weigh?

I have need of counterbalancing for a project I'm working on, and I need to add the equivalent of up to 50 2x4 bricks in weight. Naturally I started looking at 2x6x2 weight bricks. I don't currently own any, though, so I'm wondering how much they (...) (17 years ago, 28-Jun-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Building equality one female minifig at a time.

(...) They already beat Hermione a few years ago with the Studios redhead 2-sider face, which features a more obvious, but far more girly lipstick design (and only a faint bit of detailing on the eyes to suggest anything was applied there): (URL) (...)   Re: Building equality one female minifig at a time.

(...) But are there any? I've got long hair, and for my personal minifig I carved down a Qui-Gon hair (ostensibly one of the more "female" looking hairs in the line, except that it was designed specifically for a very recognizable male character).   Re: Building equality one female minifig at a time.

(...) I would like to request a very specific female minifig. Batgirl. She's historically one of the more important and recognizable members of the Bat-family (even moreso than Nightwing, IMO), and she's still going to be absent going into the third (...)   Re: Building equality one female minifig at a time.

(...) At BrickFest last year the LEGO store gave away some cardboard/foamboard displays during the raffle, and one of them was a sequence of pictures called "The Many Faces of LEGO" -- something like that. Here's a crude re-creation from memory: (...) (17 years ago, 28-Jun-07, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Is there a usable Mac OS X version?

(...) I think John Hansen actually made a pbForth terminal in NQC. My RCXTcl works on a PC, but I never did get around to packaging it for Macs. Probably because I don't have one myself :-) That being said, once you have a terminal program to talk (...) (17 years ago, 28-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth, lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Is there a usable Mac OS X version?

Is there a usable version of pbForth for Mac OS X and the USB tower? I have NQC, so there should be no trouble downloading firmware, and Mac OS X has good terminal software, but how do I set up things so that terminal communication goes via the USB (...)   Re: Building equality one female minifig at a time.

(...) I heartily agree. I have always thought that females were sadly underrepresented in LEGO sets. I would like to see more female minifigs in med-large sets alternate female heads and headgear in the majority of sets. I'm not worried so much (...) (17 years ago, 28-Jun-07, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Building equality one female minifig at a time.

(...) I know that LDD doesn't offer "fleshies", (so this won't help you, John) but it does offer a five different minifig heads. You could create your own minifig head pack. I'm certainly planning on buying some faces, figs, and hair whenever I (...) (17 years ago, 28-Jun-07, to lugnet.general)

  Orangetron micro capital spaceship

Just a little capital ship I made with only the parts available in the (URL) 5525 Amusement Park> set (a great deal for $25): (URL) It's probably too derivative of Star Trek and Star Wars ships, but its my first micro so be gentle with me please :-) (...)
