How much does a weight brick weigh?

I have need of counterbalancing for a project I'm working on, and I need to add
the equivalent of up to 50 2x4 bricks in weight.  Naturally I started looking at
2x6x2 weight bricks.  I don't currently own any, though, so I'm wondering how
much they weigh, preferrably expressed in terms of 2x4 bricks.

(...) I did some looking around BrickLink and found the what their scales read for the 2x6x2 weight brick and a 2x4 brick- 2x6x2 = 53.3 grams 2x4 = 2.32 grams So... 53.3/2.32 = just under 23 (22.9 something) Meaning it takes 23 2x4's to equal one (...) (17 years ago, 28-Jun-07, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Easiest place to look is BrickLink, which has a lot of the weight data: (URL) to them: Weight Brick 2x6x2 = 53.3 grams 2x4 Brick = 2.32 grams Of course, as I recall BrickLink weights were slightly on the high side-- not sure how that affects (...) (17 years ago, 28-Jun-07, to lugnet.trains)
