  limp-in mode

whilst perusing my '88 Dodge Dakota manual, looking for engine light codes and what they stand for, I read that the truck has a 'limp in' mode, meaning that if there was an issue that the truck computer noticed, the computer would still allow you to (...)   Re: PHP-01 Spitwad

(...) Nifty! This reminds me a lot of Paul Gyugyi's Explorien Moth, for the few who can remember back that far... (ca 1996) It would have been at this page: (URL) it appears his subdirectories are down. -Tim (21 years ago, 28-Dec-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: RCX IR Transceiver Circuit

  Re: LEGO-decorated Christmas Tree

(...) Keen. The Star Wars Mini worked particularly well. I have, in the past, decorated my tree with all the daily presents in the Lego Advent Calendar. That tends to yield some interesting, if non-traditional ornamentation too. Adrian (21 years ago, 28-Dec-04, to lugnet.fun.holiday, FTX)

  Re: Grade Crossing Signal Thingy...

(...) Yeah, I am not too crazy about modding LEGO either, but there are some mods that are fine by me. Chris's read switches are just such a mod. His crossing gates are awesome, and the read switches that control them work very well. I just I (...) (21 years ago, 28-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Coming to Kalamazoo

(...) I'm sorry I couldn't be at the meet. It sounds like it was a good time. My couch is your couch, anytime. And I've *almost* gotten to the bottom of that rubbermaid bin of unsorted parts... Steve (21 years ago, 28-Dec-04, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, FTX)

  RCX e batterie

Salve a tutti e Buon anno (primo !!!) (21 years ago, 28-Dec-04, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

Re: RCX IR Transceiver and Sensor Port Circuits

I'd love to see someone more experienced than myself give some instructions for the following mod. Currently serial tower turns off receiver somewhere between 1 and 2 seconds after the last character has been transmitted. Thus you can't use it in a (...)   Re: MPD Wizard 1.0b

(...) Yes, as I didn't try to change it on the fly ;o) An optimisation that could be done would be to remove one of the two spaces before subfile names. To make MPDWizard the Swiss army knife of MPD, you could add a "Test MPD" function that would (...) (21 years ago, 28-Dec-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: How do I power a long track?

(...) Good thought, Patrick. Thanks. I didn't build the framework that the track rides on--it was in the house when I bought it, so I didn't think to check how level it was. Mark (21 years ago, 28-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains)

  LEGO-decorated Christmas Tree

For some reason, it never occurred to me before to decorate my home Christmas tree all in LEGO ornaments (1). I didn't go crazy, just a few designs, but the overall impact was quite effective.
