Hi Reimer, I've seen HALCON listed in (URL) checking Pong Suvan's software/dll's, I was going to check a couple more site's, HALCON's included :) Just downloaded ((URL) and tested the apps done by Pong Suvan to test/use/demonstrate his DLL's. Hi :) (recovering a "very" old lugnet.robotics thread about Robotic Vision software for Mindstorms, predating the release of LEGO Vision Command) I'm assuming that you're the same psksvp that made the Robotic Vision dll's at (URL) making a search on (...) I have seen this program (NIH) at a workshop, and it was pretty incredible. I checked on the PC version (Scion makes this) and it is very similar. It says that it can measure (distances?) Could this be used as "vision" for a robot? Could this be (...) (24 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Hello I am planing on building stero-head using rcx, and 2 webcam from lego studio. All ImageProcessing will be done on PC, RCX will be used to control til, pan, etc... psksvp (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Yes, I remember. I did save a search on Laser PEN's on eBay because of that :) I planned to use video image analysis (er... machine/robotic vision) to keep track of (and measure) the reflection of laser line on objects. I say LINE and not DOT (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Has anyone done a PC-side program to do some video analisys, resulting in op-code sending to RCX/CyberMaster action control ? Hi :) *GREAT* ! Are you planning to share your findings ? :) I downloaded the current version of rv2 (the one that now includes RvCAD V.1) and tryed it: WOW :) It doesn't work with my ATI All-in-Wonder128 format feed, nor with mpeg (yet?) but the (...) Ok, found something very interesting ! (URL) FindMovingBlob seems perfect for controlling a Video Camera with a PC controlled pBrick. Marco: You are correct that Halcon is a commercial offering. I understand that it is very highly regarded. One of the Premier offerings in the arena of Machine Vision is NIH Image, which is(or was) in the public domain. You can find it at: (URL) (...) (24 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)

After checking Pong Suvan's apps/lib ((URL) checked HALCON 5.2 ((URL) as was my intention. HALCON looks like a very powerfull, well documented, well done and easy to use (through HDeveloper and/or the COM version) software package. Now, correct me (...)
