Thanks - I couldn't help thinkin' that the peasants prolly only see his
legs... I tried a couple of angles but they didn't look good so I laid the
chair on it's back and took it from above...

I especially love your shot of Verneer with the skeleton - I tried to imitate
the blood in the Scar storyline but whereas yours looked like blood... mine
just looked like red tiles :-)

Three basic shots. First one is from the defeated's view. Second is from a
buck's or doe's view. Last is from a vulture's view (who knows that there will
be plenty to eat after this is over).

It's all in the angle. The low angle on the Verneer pic obscures the basic
geometric shape of the red tiles. The high angle on the Scar pics emphasizes
the geometric shape.

a horse named "horse"? pegasus would be what he _is_, and probably fall
under the CW creature category. (nice alternative head on lumina, btw! ~ an
excelent example of how changing just one element can create a totally
different character.) perhaps lumina could name his winged friend so he'd
qualify as a unique character... do i smell another story brewing!? love
the progress on the castle buildng & story, as usual. i just hope scarlet's
killing spree has ended. if she keeps up, there won't be anyone left to
build! (oh yeah, i forgot! he's not dead, it's just a really, REALLY bad
boo-boo! dig 'em up; dust 'em off; good for another day...) the shield
shaped window and blue throne room is very nice indeed. oh! ~ love that
peasant-cam!!

IIRC, Pegasus was a specific individual. In fact, I'm not even sure if there
were any other flying horses in Greek mythology. AFAIK, only recent works of
fantasy fiction (most notably AD&D) have made him into a specific species
called Pegasi. 'Course, I've got some winged horses I created many a year a
ago (before Dragon wings came out) that I call Pegasi. ;)

you are exactly right, jeff! the story of perseus in which pegasus was
born, is my favorite in greek mythos! we could list these as "winged
horses" in the CW creatures section, and let the names fall where they may.
i forsee many people using this type of creature in CW, as i myself have
few. ;-)

Well, the reason I named him pegasus is because I tried other names and, well,
they didn't work. Remember that I said that Lumina & Peg are immortal -
Pegasus might even be the same one from greek mythology.
I will try to find another name, but I was also thinkin' about this pun -
"Asus" in hebrew means "the horse", so it was like saying his name was "Peg
the horse". Only problem is, nobody will get it ;-)

Thanks. The second I got that head from the legoredo fort, I knew there could
be only one use for it in MY world. It just fits so well.

As I said, I'll try that. But meanwhile I have another storyline with him
brewing (indirectly inspired by Pawel) and he's gonna play a big role there,
so I dunno. Maybe.

The "i" on the end makes it possessive - as in "ani" which is I, or "sheli"
which is mine. Many names end in "i" and are masculine, such as Eli (which is
pronounced like Ellie in English)- Eli means "my God" and is a masculine name.
I didn't recognize the root word of her name, but I did know that it was
possessive. Like I said, my Hebrew is a bit rusty, I haven't been in Israel
since the war, and it's usually safer to use the masculine if you're not sure.

No, only in the variation of Shir, in which it can be both a male and female.
People get mixed up just because they don't recognize the name.
BTW, that name DB is really good! I've already bookmarked it, and Philantha
(the new name for my former "pegasus") came from there. It's very useful...
