  Lion's Cove Update

Hi, I've added a big part to my Lion's Cove Teasers on my page. (At least, big compared to what I had up till now ;-) Here it is: (URL) Tell me what you think! -Shiri (URL) (24 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.announce)

  Re: Lion's Cove Update

(...) mood is concerned (IMHO). All this said, the picture of the king is awesome;) -- pn (who shot victorious Verneer from below and excited Ian from above for their personal shot;) (24 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Lion's Cove Update

(...) Thanks - I couldn't help thinkin' that the peasants prolly only see his legs... I tried a couple of angles but they didn't look good so I laid the chair on it's back and took it from above... (...) I especially love your shot of Verneer with (...) (24 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Lion's Cove Update

(...) is the page: (URL) basic shots. First one is from the defeated's view. Second is from a buck's or doe's view. Last is from a vulture's view (who knows that there will be plenty to eat after this is over). -- pn (24 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Another update (was: Lion's Cove Update)

(...) (URL)Enjoy! Tell me what you think! (...) (24 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Another update (was: Lion's Cove Update)

(...) a horse named "horse"? pegasus would be what he _is_, and probably fall under the CW creature category. (nice alternative head on lumina, btw! ~ an excelent example of how changing just one element can create a totally different character.) (...) (24 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Another update (was: Lion's Cove Update)

(...) IIRC, Pegasus was a specific individual. In fact, I'm not even sure if there were any other flying horses in Greek mythology. AFAIK, only recent works of fantasy fiction (most notably AD&D) have made him into a specific species called Pegasi. (...) (24 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Another update (was: Lion's Cove Update)

(...) born, is my favorite in greek mythos! we could list these as "winged horses" in the CW creatures section, and let the names fall where they may. i forsee many people using this type of creature in CW, as i myself have few. ;-) later ~ craig~ (24 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Another update (was: Lion's Cove Update)

(...) Well, the reason I named him pegasus is because I tried other names and, well, they didn't work. Remember that I said that Lumina & Peg are immortal - Pegasus might even be the same one from greek mythology. I will try to find another name, (...) (24 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Another update (was: Lion's Cove Update)

(...) Shiri, Ma Shlomech, I would've gotten it. ;) By the way, in reference to your reply to my last message, yes, my Hebrew is a little rusty, but also I wasn't sure if you male or female so I figured it would be better to use the masculine form. (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Another update (was: Lion's Cove Update)

(...) I'm fine, thanks, how're you? (...) ;-) I was talking to my sister and she suggested I call her (she's a her now) Peggy... (...) Sure, no prob - people get mixed up all the time. Maybe I should call myself Sherry or Cherry or something ;-) (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Another update (was: Lion's Cove Update)

(...) Really? Out of curiosity, I checked the NameDB(1), and this is what it lists: Name Origin Sex Meaning Variations Shiri Hebrew Female My song Shira, Shirah, Shirit I never even considered it could be a male name. Can it be? It doesn't list that (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Another update (was: Lion's Cove Update)

(...) The "i" on the end makes it possessive - as in "ani" which is I, or "sheli" which is mine. Many names end in "i" and are masculine, such as Eli (which is pronounced like Ellie in English)- Eli means "my God" and is a masculine name. I didn't (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Another update (was: Lion's Cove Update)

You could also make a dark pegasus with black horse and black wings for an evil creature, monster for the CW. Timbo (24 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Lion's Cove Update

(...) It's all in the angle. The low angle on the Verneer pic obscures the basic geometric shape of the red tiles. The high angle on the Scar pics emphasizes the geometric shape. Steve (24 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Another update (was: Lion's Cove Update)

(...) No, only in the variation of Shir, in which it can be both a male and female. People get mixed up just because they don't recognize the name. BTW, that name DB is really good! I've already bookmarked it, and Philantha (the new name for my (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)
