    House with porch —Jeff Stembel
   I was bored over the weekend, so I decided to design a house. I was inspired to do this since I only have two extra black 3x3 corner slopes. Let me know what you think!      Very nice. I'm suprised we haven't seen more in the way of LCad buildings. I've always thought it would be cool to create a virtual Lego town as a community project, with individual buildings, vehicles, etc. combined into one huge scene. -John Van (...)       (...) I feel the same way, but I think the reason there aren't many LDrawn buildings is that LEdit isn't particularly well suited for large constructions.       Now you're getting very close to my vision! I have a short "action-packed" story with a couple of slapstick jokes.       Actually, I like that idea just fine. I'm already halfway through a plan for a national bank (which dwarfs the dinky one just released by Lego for 1998-99.).       Cool, John!! I'll provide the fire station, after all no town is complete without a fire station. :) I have one built IRL, so maybe I'll just go ahead and LDraw it.       someone want to give me directions to uploading a dat file??? I don't have the time to figure it all out for sure.. so if someone can just give me an idea of what I have to do...        I just open the dat file in Notepad *1) Then select all text in it, copy and paste it into the message. *1) I have created a shortcut to Notepad in the C:\Windows\SendTo directory (at the same time as I deleted the options I never use).       (...) Use Lugnet's web-interface to post DATs. There's a "upload file" button provided. You just click the button, navigate to the correct file, and it gets uploaded along with the message.      (...) Thanks, that door is one of my favorite parts. :) There were two reasons preventing me from making it more rectangular: a. For some reason I was trying to limit it to that baseplate.
