| (...) Well, actually, if you battery or RCX power your 9V motor, you can run it on 4.5V track... If I was converting from 4.5V to 9V, I would just abandon all the 4.5V track, and go all 9V track. | Hi, Someone recently mentioned the fact that 9V tracks can only handle a limited number of motors/engines (whatever you call them). | Just got a 99% complete 7722 the other day in a bulk purchase. I've got a lot of 9v stuff and had never seen any 4.5v gear. Great stuff! The level crossing kill switch is very cool, as are the little things you clip to the track to reverse the train (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

| (...) With only ordinary lights, there is no directionality. If you use the special L&S element you'll get steady in one direction and flashing in the other.
