I have a question abuot DCC.  I was first exposed to DCC at our last LUG meeting

and placed them on my train (which requires 2 motors). The results were
nice...for a while.  It ran quite nicely for maybe 10 minutes, but then it
started slowing in the corners...especially in two corners that were diagonal of
each other on the oval.  It continued to go slower and slower until it came to a
stop in these corners and simply was acting like it had no power.  Has anyone
else had this problem and what is the cause?  Over heating?

I say it's the overheating.

When rtlToronto did NMRA a few weeks back, there were a few engines running for
most of the weekend.  I got stupid and put 8-10 cars behind one of my locos and,
after about an hour, it started slowing down and then just stopped.  Picked up
the loco and felt the bottom of the motor--very hot!

After a cool down period, and reducing the # of cars behind the loco, it was
fine.

I also seem to notice that the Santa Fe slows down more than my self-made MOCS.
I attribute this to the weight of the Santa Fe--with the basic brick buildup of
the thing, it feels twice as heavy as my other locos.

Keep the rolling stock down to 3-5 units (I run 2 cars and a caboose, 3 cars if
they're exceptionally light) and the trains run for hours at a time with no
noticable ill effects.
