Hi Larry et. al.,

There are some pics of a model on my page, but they were all downloaded from the
'net.  The only vehicle I've done that I *did* have a model to go from was the
Sd.Kfz 222 armored car, which coincidentally might be the one I am least happy with.

That being said, if models were free (or at least really really cheap ...), I'd
definitely snap a couple up for every LEGO project ... it's nice having a concrete
item that you can really examine from every angle, especially given the fact that
the modeller has presumably done the legwork to get the intricate detailing right.
That right there can be a painstaking process to recreate from a pile of photos
whose perspective you don't really get to choose ...

(...) Well if I want proto photos or a close approximation thereof, I sort of don't care what scale they are as long as they are *to scale* or close. (1) I can build from an HO pic just as easily as from a proto pic.... (2) 1 - while what I render (...) (23 years ago, 24-May-01, to lugnet.trains)
