<snip> I myself have done a conversion of a 9V motor to run on 12V track,
and Felsir
from the Netherlands uses 12V motors on 9V track. He has a hollow 9V motor
housing to pick up the currancy from the 9V track.

Would Felsir be Frank Buiting? I know he did the same trick...

That's correct. "Felsir" is the nick of Frank Buiting. He uses it if he posts
at the german newsgroup under 1000steine.de and he has also given it at his
lugnet memberpage:
http://www.lugnet.com/people/members/?m=401

Also in the German 'Who-Is-Who' page:
http://195.88.140.13/forum/wiw/felsir.htm
(hey Larry, do you post/read there?
http://195.88.140.13/forum/wiw/larrypieniazek.htm )

I have had the luck to see some of his creations at the FGLTC show in Muelheim
in april.

Yup, except that the train in that picture is not mine (I don't know who
owns the train in the picture)...

The trains in this picture are mine:

In the back (right side) of the picture you can see the "12V" train. The
funny thing is that it was able to pull more wagons (especially on grades)
than the 9V trains because the locomotive wheels have the rubber rims that
prevent it from slipping.

I'm in the process of modifying another 9V motor to power a 12V locomotive
since I really like 'looks' of the 12V motor and the ability to add moving
rods to it.

Oh and the credits really go to Brian 'RoyalTrain' Williams because his
train inspired me.
