Hello friends, I've just done a conversion on my SW8. Added a cabless booster to it, rounded the roof, and recessing the intake grilles, I've subsequently created a TR6. EMD built 12 sets of these between 1950 and 1953, deriving 1,600 HP from two (...) (24 years ago, 28-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

Hi all, The Greater Florida LEGO Train Club will have a large display at the H & R Trains Fall Show, October 6-7-8 2000 in Pinellas Park, Florida. (...) Yes, contest means you're up against the other layouts to win the crowd pleaser award (which is easy for us) or one of the others (much harder). Just make sure to add in a powered door if you cut a hole in the wall - otherwise, you'll get too much sound transmission between the rooms. You can do it all Lego with a Mindstorm brick, or just be lazy and use a switch, timed relay, and Lego (...) (24 years ago, 27-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

NCLUG is planning on participating in a GATS show here in Raleigh next summer. I received the information packet in the mail yesterday and I have a couple of questions for those of you who have done this before. Can someone articulate what "Contest (...)
