Hello friends, I've just done a conversion on my SW8. Added a cabless booster
to it, rounded the roof, and recessing the intake grilles, I've subsequently
created a TR6. EMD built 12 sets of these between 1950 and 1953, deriving
1,600 HP from two 567 prime movers. Commonly called 'cow and calf units',
these locomotives were used in local and transfer service. I will post a
picture as soon as they're completed, and I intend to run these at the H&R
train show here in Florida on October 6-7.
-Keep on chugging,
Harvey
