  Re: Original wagon designs

Awesome page and wagons, Huw, I love the pictures next to the model. Are you going to do all the lettering as well? ;) Scott Sanburn (...) (26 years ago, 7-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Original wagon designs

Inspired by some of the wagon models by Larry P and James Mathis, I have had a go at a few of my own, based on British prototypes. At the URL below, you'll find LDraw images, photos of the models and of the prototypes they are based on, of a bogie (...) (26 years ago, 6-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 182 scans anyone?

Aloha Matt Chiles sent me some scans which I pasted together. Looks like back to the drawing board with my 182 restoration. I was on the right track for some stuff, and others.... whowee.... i'll post an update on my website next week (major work (...) (26 years ago, 6-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

new enthusiast crashes train, many injured

Hello to all! I recently built (and unbuilt) a 4565 with an additional 2126. Trains are so fun! I got some switching rails and 2 sets of straight rails and was running my new big (to me) layout tonight with a locomotive and coal tender (courtesy of (...) (26 years ago, 6-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: economics of set 3225

(...) In two weeks, youth hockey will be over and then I'll have to bring some of my stuff to a GMLTC meeting, just so I can actually put some faces behind some of the names. (26 years ago, 6-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 182 scans anyone?

I've got these instructions but only have a 5 inch wide color hand scanner, but will give it a go. Mark H. (...) (26 years ago, 6-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: economics of set 3225

(...) Which I can attest to. He's clueless. He's been building an 8 stud wide locomotive at the GMLTC(1) meetings 3 weeks in a row now and hasn't progressed much beyond the fuel tanks and frame. Just kidding. John is trying to get it PERFECT. And it (...) (26 years ago, 5-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: economics of set 3225

It is *I* who is more than a little dazed for not knowing those came in the set! Although I have 6, only one is yet opened and assembled by my kids, so I wasn't even aware of them:^p My apologies to you, Paul:) And I applaud you and all other who (...) (26 years ago, 5-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: WTB: 6557 (really, really badly) and 6861

(...) Who, me? I have so many gray noses at this point I may actually sell one off!!! (gulp) and I only have two white ones, so it wasn't me, ok? We're TRACKing your insinuations and would prefer not to be RAILROADed through the court of public (...)   Re: economics of set 3225

(...) While we're being pedantic, it's not TLG that is wrong, it's the US Lego Shop at Home service that is wrong. S@H may be part of TLG but it is not TLG. S@H (and LEGO Systems Inc of North America) seem to make up their own names for things (...) (26 years ago, 5-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: economics of set 3225

(...) Blimey! I've just looked those sets up. 2150 is exactly the same as the station I've got, except it's red instead of yellow. That looks incredible. I want one of them as well. Oh dear. I'm not going to have any money at all soon. I'm going to (...) (26 years ago, 5-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Got One of Last Freight Loading Station

Robin, Yes, 4555 is a great set. The only thing I didn't like was the truck design, so I made it look 100% better (In my humble opinion, anyway!) Have fun building it! Isn't that what Lego sets are all about? :) Scott Sanburn (...) (26 years ago, 5-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: economics of set 3225

Hay, The TLG has been wrong for years! Long before Town Jr. just look at some of the old S@H catalogs. Robin :) P.S. I like this set(3225) good parts at good price but I think they can do better. (...) (26 years ago, 5-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

Got One of Last Freight Loading Station

Lego Railroaders, I just got my 4555 Freight Loading Station from a friend in Canada. Yes! It was one of the last sets in needed to compete my train collection until the new stuff comes out. Getting this set was tricky, first I tried US S@H but they (...) (26 years ago, 5-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  182 scans anyone?

  Re: economics of set 3225

Larry! What sacrilege. How could TLG be wrong? If they say it is a caboose, it must be! Just put on your Town Jr. glasses and then make a decision as to what it is. (Just kidding, I know it's a coach) (26 years ago, 4-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: What about 2126 Train Cars set?

I was thinking about buying 3225 and 2126 for having some more cars on my cargo train (I have had trains since 1994, when the first 9V came out, but I just got my city up in September) and I decided on 2126 simply because t had some interesting (...) (26 years ago, 5-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)
