  Re: GMLTC

(...) Ah, the problem of the shifting Midwest. I'm taking Geography of the Midwest for my major (in Geography) this semester, and we have discussed the issue of the Midwest as a metaphor. Basically, the Midwest as a physical location seems to shift (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

MOC updates: Desert Express and Mobile Crane

Hi all, I just updated my brickshelf galleries with some new pictures from the Desert Express and the red and white Mobile Crane. The crane has a second counter boom to carry the Maxilift unit and a moving jib on top of the major boom. I also added (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains) !

To All, (...) meaning to ask, as this (...) Nope, we accept everyone, regardless of age, sex, color, political affiliations, etc. Scott S. -- (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

  Re: IBLTC

I'm in ours :) I would have said something about the "international brotherhood" but I pledged a fraternity freshman year, and even the girls were addressed as "brother so-and-so". (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: ....custom designed train

What may be old to you, is somewhat new to me....I don't really like Lego's website (www.lego.com), and 90% of the time lugnet.trains is talking about a lot of stuff that doesn't really interest me (90% of the time!!) not to say that the stuff you (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

  MICHLUG Statements WAS (Re: TeenLTC)

To All, (I posted this to trains becuase of previous discussions, FUT org.us.michlug) It seems to me we are having some inner discussions in regards to Michlug, and various issues concerning that. Before we go spiraling out of control, I will make (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

  Re: TeenLTC?

Kai & All, (...) Larry did not gobble up MICHLTC, nor have you. Chris Leach and I founded it, and as far as I am concerned, both of you are members. Kai, you better calm down and stop posting drivel like this. Please e-mail me in private if you want (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

  Building a gravel silo

I'm working on the inside of a gravel silo and I'm not completely happy with it. The silo I have in mind dumps gravel into either a hopper waggon or into a dump-truck. Currently I have two designs: (warning bad ascii art) T = the truck H = the (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

  Re: ICLTC

(...) He didn't say anything. (...) The BLE has female members. Further, clubs don't even HAVE a gender, it's a brotherhood of CLUBS not of club members. Why be gratuitiously PC when it's not necessary? ++Lar (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: IBLTC

(...) What do *you* think? (or was that a facetious question? :-) ) I would prefer not to belong to any club that excludes girls. (I *like* girls, just ask me, they're fun to have around) I can think of at least one girl member of most of the train (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: IBLTC

(...) Oh, I like IOLTC myself. I also think that "Brotherhood" might not be the best way to go. I vote for IOLTC. Eric Kingsley (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

  Re: IBLTC

Hi all, if I did get it right you are planning, or allready set up a mailing list system for Lego Train Clubs? I would like to participate as a representative of the FGLTC (First German LEGO Train Club) which was founded by Ben. Perhaps he also (...)   Re: IBLTC

(...) Yeah, I agree with Todd here. The word "brotherhood" is a little too exclusive (We actually have female members in the GMLTC). I realize it would be cool to follow along in the same vein as train unions, but I would suggest something like (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

(...) I'd love to be the 2nd North Carolina rep (though if Cary or James want's the honor that would also work with me). Todd Lehman wrote in message ... (...) What he said. The organisation is a great idea, but I'd rather see Congress than Brotherhood. Why be gratuitously exclusive when it's not necessary?   Re: IBLTC

(...) Wow, that's kind of surprising to hear. I've been meaning to ask, as this thread has unfolded... Are women allowed in LEGO train clubs, or is it a boys-only thing? --Todd (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: IBLTC
