  LEGO Town Quiz

Things have been pretty slow today so I dug up an old LEGO quiz I emailed to a friend a while back. No prizes on offer though. ;-) 1) Which was the Widest town vehicle produced? 2) Apart from the color schemes what else is different between the the (...) (25 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.town)

Re: Has anybody made an elevated bridge a few feet of the ground?

Visit some of the LEGO train websites for ideas on how to achieve something like this. (URL) (Pacific North West LEGO Train Club) is a good one I've been meaning to post a few pics of smaller scale Town bridges on my website but haven't got round to (...) (25 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.town)

Has anybody made an elevated bridge a few feet of the ground?

I've been thinking of doing this but it would be 3ft of the ground and I would like somebody to help me with this. Does anybody have or know of a website that shows this. (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.town)

  Re: A use for TownJr

(...) I'll agree here. The problem I see is that there already are lego sets and themes designed for younger children: Duplo, Fabuland, Basic... If they 'juniorize' the older kids' stuff, then what's not to stop them from juniorizing things like (...) (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Divers (was: Lugnet Roll-call)

(...) I have a note which says the 6560 Diving Expedition Explorer ship is 45x10. I'm not sure how accurate that note is--I may have been estimating that day. But it sounds like the USS Constellation are the Ferry are easily bigger than the (...) (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.town)

  Re: A use for TownJr

(...) I have to admit I've actually read that on set boxes too. Welcome to the world of the parent. Thanks for stopping by. (...) Absolutely. Why wouldn't it be? Theoretically, you could give your child anything, (for an absurd example, a martial (...) (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.town)

  Re: A use for TownJr

(...) Sure, but not all children are the same. If your child understands not to put them in his/her mouth, and you're there to supervise, it's probably okay to disregard the warning. (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.town)

(...) Lego is not appropriate for a 2 yr old It says "contains small parts. not for children under 3" or something like that on the box. -- Jonathan Wilson wilsonj@xoommail.com (URL) (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Paradisa question

(...) Ray, I have opened two of those sets and each one has had a red fishing pole. I haven't a clue as to why yours had a black one. If you want a red one, you can contact me. Tom (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.town)

(...) I think most of us agree. However, Town Jr's place should NOT be to replace regular town models. It should be an addition instead of a replacement. --Bram Bram Lambrecht / o o \ BramL@juno.com ---...---oooo-----(_...o---...--- WWW: (URL) (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.town)

  A use for TownJr

I'm not intending to open a can of worms here, but up until now I've remained silent on the TownJr. bashing. Here's the way I see it: I took the kids to TRU yesterday and picked up a couple of smaller sets. My 2 1/2 year old son is as fascinated (...) (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Divers (was: Lugnet Roll-call)

(...) Yup. It is slightly longer than the Atlantis from Launch 'N Load Seaport. I'm glad I got three extra copies of 6560. That is a great set! Jeff P.S. I don't know how big the USS Constellation is, so I'm not including it. (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.town)
