You surely have pressed the limits of what the pneumatics are capable of.
As a new user, I have not had a chance to experiment with the actual
capabilities of the system.  Great to hear from someone who has.

I had a truck already built up in the scale of the tow truck. I seated the
front wheels into the wreckers rear lifting frame(spectacle lift).Would it
then raise my truck? would it heck as like...tow my truck. When I get
round to building a mobile crane it won't just lift one end of a truck(half
the weight) it'll lift the whole thing clear of the ground and more. Less
than one hour after looking at it, it had been reduced to it's component parts.

My basic point is I much prefer building working models of the prototypes I
choose, which is what I think Lego should be all about.

I agree 100%.  Legos is about original creation (or play!!).  But I have to
admit, I learn alot by building these canned models and then employing the
specific feature on a new creation.

Thanks for the input.  As a new LUGNET member as well I am always impressed
by the responses of my fellow lego enthusiasts.

Steven

It's been so long since I built a 'canned model' that I forgot how much fun they can be. I think the last (...) (23 years ago, 30-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) I've recently bought both, second hand, built up, but I must say I'm not impressed with either. Don't get me wrong, the sets are brilliant, for parts. but when I came to play ( I mean operate, 25 year olds don't play)with them I soon lost (...) (23 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)
