  lugnet.robotics.nxt co-curatorship

Almost a year ago I posted a thread about the (URL) robotics.nxt sidebar>. I don't update it much anymore, but today I was emailed a request to add a link to a new NXT simulator. I've done so, but what would make the sidebar more interesting is a (...) (16 years ago, 6-Jan-09, to lugnet.admin.curators, lugnet.robotics.nxt, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: The RTS Zavala Steamship-of-War

Hey, I just let both videos play. Really cool! The first one gives a good impression of the shape and size of this very well built MOC. Thanks! The second video showing the pistons and paddle wheel action, wow! That is so amazing! Great job! I (...) (16 years ago, 31-Dec-08, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.technic)

Re: 8888 blue excavator complete inventory

(...) You're welcome. (...) Yes, 8888 is unmatched. 2008 and 2009's official technic sets are absolutely laughable compared to the gems that are in there, from 26 years ago! I did plan on building the programmable crane eventually. I don't have any (...) (16 years ago, 25-Dec-08, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: 8888 blue excavator complete inventory

(...) Thanks for this. I have been planning on building one for some time and this will make it really easy to get the parts. Everything in the 8888 book is fantastic. I've built the "programmable" mobile crane and, in some ways, it surpasses (...) (16 years ago, 24-Dec-08, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: New set - 8264 Hauler

(...) I just picked one up this afternoon. I'll be writing a review on Eurobricks in the next couple of days. I also posted a review of the 8262 Quad Bike. Eric (URL) Technicopedia> (16 years ago, 24-Dec-08, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  New set - 8264 Hauler

This is the first time I've seen it (URL) love new set time. These panels would be great for bridge decking or temporary ramps. (URL) (16 years ago, 23-Dec-08, to lugnet.technic)

  8888 blue excavator complete inventory

From idea book 8888. Took it apart this morning and took the time to do the inventory before storing away the parts. Didn't use any special software, just basic notepad. Enjoy. 9 blue brick 1x1 9 blue brick 1x2 6 red brick 1x2 9 blue brick 1x3 2 red (...) (16 years ago, 22-Dec-08, to lugnet.technic)

  The RTS Zavala Steamship-of-War

I am pleased to announce my newest MOC The RTS Zavala Steamship-of-War (URL) This vessel is a side-paddle-wheel sailing steamship. The model is almost 4 1/2 feet long (1.36 meters) and it uses 13 hull center sections. Although called a schooner, the (...)   Re: Technicopedia Update

(...) Wohoo! Almost as good as having the real model! I realize it's too much work and bandwith, to realistically use it on every model, but it can definitely be a bonus link on some of them! (16 years ago, 14-Dec-08, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Technicopedia Update

(...) Eric. Love the work you've put in so far, and I'd like to help out. If you give me some set numbers for which you don't have LDraw files, I'd be willing to put some time in and draw them up, provided the Peeron instructions scans are available (...)   Re: Technicopedia Update

(...) OK, round 3. The black background is just due to the fact that I rendered it with an alpha channel so it is transparent. My animation software made this black by default, but it is easy to change. So with that in mind.... I've made a new one (...) (16 years ago, 14-Dec-08, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: Technicopedia Update

(...) Understood, it's just that I thought: When we *have* a 360 view, it would be nice to be able to look at it in my own time :-) (...) I like it. Of course it's small but as it can be stopped, it's still giving much more information than the free (...) (16 years ago, 13-Dec-08, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Technicopedia Update

(...) I wanted the animation to look smooth, and they look jerky if I use less than about 20 frames per second. I also needed to limit the number of frames to something that would produce a reasonable file size, at the same time not taking forever (...) (16 years ago, 13-Dec-08, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: Technicopedia Update

(...) Nice! One minor 'complaint' though: IMO, the 360 animations are rotating too fast, so it's difficult to really see any details. The super thing would be to have a controllable 360 rotation, so I could stop at any angle and look closer. I don't (...) (16 years ago, 13-Dec-08, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Technicopedia Update

Good news everyone! I have now added the sets from 1991 to Technicopedia including 8074, 8810, 8815, 8820, 8838, and 8856. (URL) You'll notice some other changes as well. Firstly, I have a new logo which is now rendered in 3D. The logo on the title (...) (16 years ago, 13-Dec-08, to lugnet.technic, FTX)
