Thanks for this. I have been planning on building one for some time and this
will make it really easy to get the parts. Everything in the 8888 book is
fantastic. I’ve built the “programmable” mobile crane and, in some ways, it
surpasses anything released as an official set.
In case anyone else wants to build it, here is the Ldraw file (some unofficial
parts required):

| (...) You're welcome. (...) Yes, 8888 is unmatched. 2008 and 2009's official technic sets are absolutely laughable compared to the gems that are in there, from 26 years ago! I did plan on building the programmable crane eventually. I don't have any (...) (16 years ago, 25-Dec-08, to lugnet.technic, FTX)
