Does anyone have any idea what kind of steering the crane has?

I was just about to write that my guess would be that axles 1,2, & 4 all steer
when I noticed that neither of the warning beacons on the cab have shafts
running down from them, that could be used to steer. Now it could be that the
steering is controlled by a spare wheel mounted on the rear, which is a great
solution, but where would that leave space for the control for the outriggers?
It must have a control for that.
Maybe their wasnt room, maybe they thought so many technic models had steering
that it had been done to death?
I also couldnt help noticing that the model is a studded/studless hybrid.
Thereby vindicating my stance that studless alone is not conducive to good model
building.
Also, is that another new tyre? I dont know where lego find the money to keep
endlessly designing new tyres.
