  Re: I need technic!!!...!!!

(...) Brad Justus stated at BrickFest 2002 that Techinc was not dead. I think he indicated that new sets were coming out in the third quarter. Also, pictures from the Altered States Magazine covering Toy Fare indicate possibly 3 or 4 new medium to (...) (22 years ago, 2-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: I need technic!!!...!!!

Does anyone have actual details of the re-release of the pneumatic crane? So far all I have seen is a picture. Have I missed the announcement? Greg "Steven lane" <steveroblane@aol.com> wrote in message news:H07uL4.9xt@lugnet.com... (...) Technic (...) (22 years ago, 2-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: I need technic!!!...!!!

I'm not sure your assessment is accurate. I would concede that the "Technic" word may be dropped from TLC's vocabulary, but I see no evidence that there is much slackening in the pace to create new sets and parts. I think what is happening is that (...) (22 years ago, 2-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: I need technic!!!...!!!

(...) First off, I really like the subject line. I think we all need Technic. I admit it, I am a technic user. I don't think things are quite as bad as people think. There was that re-release of the pneumatic crane and a special offer on that large (...) (22 years ago, 2-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

  I need technic!!!...!!!

I get the funny feeling that the technic line is going down the pan. Technic is my favorite line that lego has produced. Is there any way we can restore the technic line to it's former glory. I do hope that lego are working on some large technic (...) (22 years ago, 2-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Technic 8466 4X4 Off-Roader REVIEW

(...) Thanks John! =P Like I mentioned to you before school is starting soon for me (less than a week) and I think I can get just ne more big set out of this summer. Time's running out, and I need some quick reviews or comments that tell me which (...) (22 years ago, 2-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Technic 8466 4X4 Off-Roader REVIEW

(...) Nice set, no quite my style but lots of action! Really love the transmition. Too bad it can't move by itself... (...) One of my most favorite sets. Lots of action- lifting landing gear, moving wing flaps, fiber optics, opening cargo bay doors, (...) (22 years ago, 2-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Technic 8466 4X4 Off-Roader REVIEW

(...) Actually, I do have 8880. A real masterpiece if you ask me. Very hard to compare it to 8466, they are sooo...ooo different! (22 years ago, 2-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Technic 8466 4X4 Off-Roader REVIEW

(...) Super car. Think of this as the street version of the 8466...no 4wd :( But more interesting modular building process. It's pretty darn cool nonetheless. Lego discontinued. Ebay or bricklink are decent bets. (...) Must have set for every (...) (22 years ago, 2-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Technic 8466 4X4 Off-Roader REVIEW

(...) What a coincedence! I was in MY dark ages up until I just ordered that set, and now I'M asking where to get copies of recent large Technic sets! You couldn't give me some info on any the following sets, could you? 8448 8480 8458 8462 8460 (...) (22 years ago, 2-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Technic 8466 4X4 Off-Roader REVIEW

I agree with all your comments. This is a great set, especially now it is available at 50%. It is a clever model and well worth building just to soak up a recent lesson in current parts type building techniques (smooth beams etc.). I just grabbed a (...)   Re: The Big Crane At Brickfest

Gordon, (...) The axles of my crane were supported as well. I put six black bricks under the chassis. You nearly couldn’t trace them. Many people thought the crane was supported only by it’s heavy support arms. But as LEGO-ist you know that’s far (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam)

  Re: Yet Another Technic Creation

I had been about to announce I was organising the TVLF in Lawrence's place this year, but the sudden influx of fests means I'm going to postpone it for a couple of months. Nathaniel (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: How I've been procrastinating...

(...) Thanks! (...) That'll be rather difficult (tho not impossible) for I ripped it apart and put the 8475 back together--the 8466 was great for about 3-5 minutes, but it kills the batteries waaay too fast. (...) The motor is at one end, and a (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.technic)

  Re: How I've been procrastinating...

(...) Very cool Dave! Nicely done. You should bring it to the next rtl dinner... ok, maybe with smaller tires for ease of transport ;) I can't figure out how you actually got the drive to the rear wheels. Is each of the new motors driving one of the (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.technic)

Znap-Snap Back to the drawing board

So there I am hang'n with my buddy Brian Sad, I was showing off my new Mecha Arm and the Znap Flex Axle snapped! Too bad, it was kind a cool set up. All we new was the arm was on the ground crawling around, and then the gears were just spinning. (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: New style diffs, driving rings and 16t clutch gears

(...) I've built a multi-function transmission/transfer-case for a Jeep. It includes a 4-speed transmission, which is then routed to a 2-speed transfer case. The 2-speed is exactly as ROSCO describes it. The output is then routed to the central (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: New style diffs, driving rings and 16t clutch gears

(...) I thought of a possible idea how you could use this as a means to make a car thats both a 2wd and a 4wd, where you select between them with a lever, much like on real 4wds. (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)
