  RE: M1A1 Abrams

Alright...Alright...now that I have seen it in action, I have to have one. How much!!!! If you aren't going to sell that one, do you plan to create a .dat file with a parts list so we can all build one? Steven B. Combs, MS, CIT Associate Professor - (...)   Re: Part identification in set #398 Constellation

I have the set 398 standing beside me. It's an older type wheel plate, the one with the metal axel in it. With considerable force you can remove wheels and axle, what's left it what you need: 2x2-with-hollow-studs. Next problem: try to find the (...) (25 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: M1A1 Abrams

I've put the Mpegs up, but their a bit big, so you'll have to decide if you think it's worth it. I tried lowering the quality but it didn't change much so I left them at high quality. It's a new link but the page looks the same, the Mpegs are at the (...) (25 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Bionicle article - New Zealand News

Here is my opinion on this matter. Lego should be able to keep the products on store shelves under the original names. A language is a language, whether it be English, German, Esperanto, or Maori. Lego should not, however, copyright the names of the (...) (25 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  RE: M1A1 Abrams

Steve, As an Army Reserve Armor Officer and M1A1 Tank Commander from way back, I applaud the fine detail. I would love to get my hands on it for my office! Steven B.   Re: Bionicle article - New Zealand News

Christina, We touched on this a while ago ((URL) but since these articles are new, we won't feed you to the Nui Rama... I particularly like the phrase from the New Zealand paper's coverage, where the Maori accuse LEGO of "cultural and linguistic (...) (25 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Bionicle article - New Zealand News

Fantasy toys spark legal game between Maori group and Lego (URL) say Lego has no right to use their words (URL) new to this.. if it is old news I'm sorry. Christina (25 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: MASSIVE lsit of Bionicle Reviews!

(...) I'm kinda suprised by this. The US has only just started to get Bionicle and they already have Makuta's beasts? I haven't seen em anywhere in the UK,same for the card game. Glad that it's not a collectable one,I don't have the money to dish (...) (25 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Bionicle going away?

(...) Yeah, it's a cool set! I like the use of technic functions in small vehicles. There aren't that many technic functions available in the set, but it's still an interesting package. Fredrik (25 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Bionicle going away?

(...) Despite being keen for Lego to keep Technic 'traditional' and basically agreeing with you, I can't let you get away with this test. Technic Universal set 8020 has a transparent windscreen and I think it was one of the best value universals (...) (25 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Bionicle going away?

(...) There's a simple test, has it got a transparent windscreen, Yes!! then it can't possibly be Technic. Also Technic sets are always built in a skeletal framework style, while the UCS Tie Fighter is a solid form. I thougt we'd agreed Bionicle (...) (25 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Toa vs Throwbots

Just some observations as I was putting together all the Toa I bought. The Toa are better figures in general, they stand taller, the maks make for cooler heads, and the giant weapons they have are much more impressive, but at the same time there is (...)   Re: Bionicle going away?

(...) I meant that it sucks for you that you can't get over the fact that Lego put Bionicle under the Technic name where it doesn't belong. If Bionicle weren't called Technic you'd probably shug it off and say "go have fun" to those of us who like (...) (25 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Bionicle going away?

(...) Neither do I. But the Throwbots/RoboRiders/Bionicle have something the other <$10 technic sets do not - a coolness factor. Obviously not everyone has a soft spot for action figures or robotic-looking things. But I do. And three years ago when (...) (25 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: MASSIVE lsit of Bionicle Reviews!

OK, first off, an Outlet Store is a special store that only sells lego products, and recieves its shipments directly from Lego HQ. There are very few of them...One here in Georgia, one in Virginia...Possibly Legoland, but I make no guarantees. Now a (...) (25 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Bionicle going away?

(...) I think it's obvious that it's a 'Model Team' set by nature. I have only 3 Model Team sets but I got the impression that all of them contain at least some Technic elements and have some functions. What differentiates this line from the Technic (...) (...) WowOwoWoWOWOWOowowoO...ww!!!!!!!! COoooOOoOoooOoooooLlll!!!! I think I must have missed something obvious. What exactly is an outlet store, and can I find one near where I live? Does Legoland count? Ian (25 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Bionicle going away?

(...) I'm wondering whether you would argue that the UCS Tie Fighter was not Technic if it had been released as a Technic set. A Technic set contains Technic elements and is released under the Technic name by TLC. Bionicle sets fall in this (...) (25 years ago, 30-May-01, to lugnet.technic)
