Re: Small front wheel drive car with steering

It's a very elegant prototype! I've built a couple of prototypes based on the same principle myself, but I have to admit that my prototypes were a lot bigger and less elegant. I only used the 12 teeth bevel gears, not the 20 teeth that you use. I (...) (24 years ago, 11-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

Small front wheel drive car with steering

Hi, I've found a way to build a small car with steering and drive on the front axle. Right now, all I have is a prototype which uses some of the smallest Technic wheels (marked 30.4x14). The "car" is only 8 studs wide between its wheels. You can see (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

I don't know how it compares to 8448, but it is pretty flexible (i.e. put it on a table and lift up just one wheel- it will come up several inches before lifting the other side of the car up- much more than just the travel of the suspension).
