BTW while we're on the subject of sorting, how does everyone organize their
Technic pieces? I tend to just use the plastic trays that come with the sets...

Beams separeted after length in bins.
Cross axles in tackle box
Pegs in tackle box
Gears in tackle box
"Designer parts" in one bin, like soft cross axles, cross axles of
other colors then black, engine parts, fairings, ribbed hoses  etc
etc.
Wheels in several bins :)
Technic plates in one bin
One full owerflow bin
Misc. Technic pieces in small quantities in a tackle box with small
containers
Pneumatics and flex system hoses (they're really pneumatic, right?) in
one bin
And finally a "technic" bin with larger technic parts like shocks and
such
Oh, yeah, one electronics bin too.

I'll take some pics one day or another...
/Tobbe

All the following in cardboard trays i made:
Axles
Gears (inc worm)
black pegs
other pegs
bushes + half bushes
all other "things that are small and go on an axle" :)
angle connectors + axle connectors
small liftarms (up to 6l inc. cams, triangles)
bits i have few of (micromotor, chain, elastic bands, ball pegs etc)

those all sit in an old briefcase (which is ALWAYS kept flat)

then i have a shoebox of "specialised bits", eg suspension pieces,
pneumatics, motors, body panels, engine parts, hinges etc

everything else (basicly, bricks + plates of all sizes, wheels, big liftarms
is gathered up in an old sheet so i can spread it all out on the floor/bed
and then bundle it up afterwards.
