  Re: Silver Champion

(...) Great! I'll love to see it. When I just came out of my dark ages and had no clue on the various sets that came out when I was away from LEGO I found this sight: (URL) it really helped me with my LEGO Technic education and served as a good (...) (25 years ago, 14-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: The bodge and it's use in Technic Construction

I think this is a regional thing and depends on where you live on how it's pronounced. I've heard it both ways.   Re: Silver Champion

(...) I thought it wasn't too bad a set but was way overpriced; I bought it for the original $170 price and was far less than satisfied. Although you're right, the basic construction is very impressive. They actually don't use too many traditional (...) (25 years ago, 14-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Silver Champion

I just finished building my <set:8458 Silver Champion> and I have a few impressions. First of all, while it is very low on functions (for it size) I'm still happy with it. I enjoyed the building of the chassis and the suspension system very much. (...) (25 years ago, 14-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: The bodge and it's use in Technic Construction

(...) This example by Mark Twain doesn't convince me, it ignores the context of letters (try find an english word were gh at the beginning is pronounced f). Read (URL) and have a good laugh too. Jürgen (25 years ago, 13-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Additional set with old-style 9v motor

(...) Arg...thanks for pointing that out. Pretty stupid of me to leave that one out, considering I have it...LOL Anyway this is a very nice set for parts: it contains the 9V motor and micromotor as you said, 6 electric cables of various lengths (2 (...)   Re: Yet another use for 7106

(...) Jennifer, you are a total nerd. Lego, Star Trek, the whole package. Why didn't I meet you before I got married. Life is so unfair sometimes :( (25 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Bionicle Reference Chart

I put the chart together becuase I could never remember what characters where associated with other characters and places. It was getting confusing when the villagers were talking to me and they were using all of these different names. I placed the (...) (25 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: Yet another use for 7106

(...) Indeed, or even carve the molds from wood. I think the most difficult bit would be making attachment points for the Technic pieces, although it may be possible to glue pieces of standard parts onto it for this purpose. (...)   Re: Yet another use for 7106

(...) The oven seems to work well too from what I remember, and I'm sure it fitted the mould rather well after being roasted for a while. I have no idea if this is proper procedure, however. Jennifer Clark (25 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: looking for inventories of 8064 & 9v power pack

(...) You said that what you wanted was to obtain experience as to how the motor can be used. So why don't you just start building one of the models in the 8064 and see how far you get? You don't actually need to build all the models included there. (...) (25 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

Additional set with old-style 9v motor

(...) Don't forget set 8082. Includes one micromotor, one non-geared regular 9-v motor, 2 polarity witches and plenty of cable. This set can sometimes be picked up at Ebay for ok prices and is pretty useful for all walks of technic activity. (25 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.db.inv)

  Never seen this model before

Re: The bodge and it's use in Technic Construction

(...) Here's one: inserting the studs of one beam into the axle holes of a Technic beam. They're not designed to fit properly, and the parts will actually deform over time if left long enough. (25 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)
