hello, Yes, you can program using Lego LOGO, which is the official software that is packaged with the Lego Dacta Control Lab set. Or you can use the more powerful (IMHO) Lego Engineer, a program developed at Tufts which is based on National (...) To get to the gears, you need to open up the micromotor from the other side, the round side. If you look at the black round part (the part that's supposed to spin around when powered), you will see a red ring around it. Use a thin knife to pry this (...) (24 years ago, 10-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

I just got my new 5223 Wind Up Motor It is very interesting and complicated. It has some set of internal clutches. It is normally in a neutral gear, free-wheeling mode. If you have it rightside up and tap it, a winding clutch engages. It takes about (...) (24 years ago, 9-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

The Throwbot cases (the ones that are supposed to go on your belt) have slots in them where the discs fit.
