Ok, I'm gonna jump right in here and ask: any ideas how I get at the
workings in a 9v motor that has the gear reduction?? ie: a mindstorms motor?

| To get to the gears, you need to open up the micromotor from the other side, the round side. If you look at the black round part (the part that's supposed to spin around when powered), you will see a red ring around it. Use a thin knife to pry this (...)
