Hehe - I have taken weeks to sort out bucketloads after having big
challenge events. I am actually brave enough to let other people,
specifcally kids, at the Lego. Not only do you have to reclaim it from
the actual creations, but you also have a good chance that they
spilled a sorter tray/bucket, or simply mixed it all up a bit. I am
still trying to work out the best way to present the Lego to the kids
though..
I like it ordered and sorted, because I know most, if not all the
peices, and where they will be, however, the kids would much prefer it
was poured out so they can see everything, and I admit sometimes I
take inspiration from that approach too. To sort or not sort is a
tough call in that sense, especially with a very large collection and
a combination of ordered, designed planned builds and ad-hoc madness..
Any tips anyone? I have heard the "big round cloth with drawstrings
method" - that works on a collection of around a bucketload, but not a
roomfull.
I am not crossposting space, and thing it might make sense to post on
storage or something unless someone can think of a better place to
take this thread to.
