Okay people.
I am new to .mecha (about 5-6 months) - but not at all to LUGnet in
general. I am have missed what ever transpired before, but this
particular volley has left me a little saddened, enough that I think I
might leave .mecha alone for a while.

I am not interested in all this bull. In fact, the history I have seen
with Eric is some impressive creations -Like Jama and his other bots,
things which I would love to have enough time to create - I use my
time on other creations though. (GBC/Moonbase combo anyone or even a
Mecha-Themed GBC module?)

There are plenty of good builders, plenty of threads to talk about
MOCs, and the theory of Lego, the construction techniques and stuff
like that. But Lugnet was never a place for personal attacks, and from
someone just seeing the tail end of something which may have a
history, I just see a number of people making a quite stinging
ganged-up personal attack on Eric.

Sure - you may have found his thread on the moc dissassembly and peice
sorting irrelevant. So do I quite a lot of stuff on LUGnet and on the
net - I ignore it, I dont jump up and down red in the face attacking
someone for it. Shame on you all - this is lugnet, it is supposed to
be one of the frendliest places on the net, and you .mecha people have
totally lost it.

Still, I now have a list of irrelevant whiners and trolls to put on my
.ignore file. Now does anyone actually have anything to say about
Lego? Be it building, or sorting or storage? Or maybe something geeky
about mecha in general (which I would still find totally acceptable),
or even comparing the alternative brick models (like the transformeres
models)? If yes, then come here, and talk about that stuff. If no - go
away and use slashdot for your flamewars.

This part of the LUGnet community has lost something, and maybe, just
maybe, suz needs to delete .mecha and kick a few people to get rid of
this unpleasant elitist moaning and whining, and bring back a family
freindly, fun and fact filled, moc based and inspirational group to
replace it.

Hi Danny, Let me just say, that I am very sorry to have you see all this negativity. I have to share the blame. I have a tendency to confront people when they are mean to me. Is that a good thing? Not really. I just got off the phone with a noted (...) (19 years ago, 22-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

(...) Bro, you don't even post to just say hi to anyone. So posting twice in a month for you is arrousal at it's best. Who's talking. Aside from that, you should know, as a newsgroup Curator, in .mecha I try to help keep a flow going. Aside from my (...) (19 years ago, 22-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)
