I would be interested in the Lando figure not because of his role in the
movies, but because I would like to have a bit more diversity among my Lego
population. This is probably the reason that so many people are willing to pay
big bucks in auctions to acquire rare female minifigs.

I don't think this ought to be relevant. Sets need not be marketed by
demographic group; a white kid can play with a brown Lando as easily as a with
a yellow Luke Skywalker.

Well, RES-Q would be easy - just print Moustache Guy, Shades Guy, or some other
face onto a brown head. It's very reasonable to expect a modern rescue squat to
have some diversity.
Ninjas, on the other hand, would make more sense if they were all yellow. Same
with Medieval sets. This might be a bit awkward for TLG. But they could have a
mix of brown and yellow Minifigs in space, town, pirates, adventurers,
underwater stuff, etc.

If a set that is manufactured in Denmark represent Danish ratios of minority figures, or French? (or whereever else it's sold). American numbers (...) (26 years ago, 28-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)
