So, if LEGO comes out with a yellow Lando what happens? Does everybody
complain, or do they (we) just say "OK, that's the solution then.

The above would work for me because LEGO minifigs have always been
yellow, nearly across the board, with a few minor exceptions being the
mummy and Darth Vader (and insectoids, but we're discussing human figs).
All living human minifigs are yellow, all undead or nearly-dead are
gray. So Lando is yellow.
But then of course, so is Chewy. And Yoda. Hmmm. Maybe (as has been
suggested here already) Chewy will be a yellow minifig with a brown
ghost-like shroud. But, of course they're not human so they can be any
color TLG wants... I'm sure that if/when a Falcon with Lando and/or
Chewy comes out their appearance will be the big news...
And half of us can say we were right...
