Well, TLG did make those duplo figures with several different races, if
I remember right.
But if TLG decided to make a few different colors of characters, and
decided to get rid of the mini-fig yellow, they could open up a whole
range of race related lawsuits. "Well, set #6399 only had X number of X
minority, so it's racist."
Can you imagine any set that has 5 or 6 variations for each racial
group? What a mess!

Very stupid, I admit, but none-the-less possible in this day and age. I
would rather see more ships / sets than figures, personally.

| (...) They could start producing blended ranges of colors, from pale pink to deep brown, mix them together, and insert them randomly into sets. Of course, all mini-figs would have to start wearing gloves, and swimsuits would become a thing of the (...) (25 years ago, 27-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars)

The whole "racially neutral" idea of the yellow heads was great back when everyone just had the classic yellow smileys, but now that we're seeing very specific faces, I think that (...)
