  A-Wing, X-Wing MOC

Finally, I've managed to post something! I built these last summer, and I've lost a lot of the pictures, and I'll try to find more, but this is one of the better ones unfortunately. I like the A-Wing better, the fins are angled, adn the cockpit has (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Imperial Shuttle

In lugnet.starwars, Zak Arntson writes: <snip> (...) <snip> Hi Zak, You are correct in thinking the wings should fold down lower. I switched the 2x10's with 1x10's. It works and looks fine. Now, with only a 1x10, there is less support for the wing, (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Allow me to introduce myself

Well, I was introduced to Lugnet by Micheal Lachmann (the creator of MLCAD) a while ago but I never thought of actually introducing myself. As you can tell, My name is Joseph H. Cardana aka Darth Anadrac. My website is anadrac.homepage.com if it (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.people, lugnet.cad)

  Imperial Shuttle

Before I go into a small problem I had with the shuttle, here's my thoughts: It's a really cool set! The thing is almost entirely white, which is a good contrast against the black and blue tie fighters available. The top fin is much more stable than (...)   Re: Who else wants an AT-AT?

(...) The even sadder thing is that the snowspeeder is one of the few SW models Lego's made that's actually LARGER than it 'should' be-- making the required AT-AT foot even bigger :) If I recall correctly, the 7130 is 18 studs long, making it about (...)   Re: Who else wants an AT-AT?

If you consider that LEGO uses existing pieces where they can, I can imagine each foot would use one of those tiny "saucer" pieces like the AT-ST foot, or the Millenium Falcon landing gear. Which would be fine, because if it were TOO big, yikes! I'd (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Who else wants an AT-AT?

(...) Is anyone else a member of the Star Wars Fan club? I've written a question to Steve Sansweet about the scales used (actual scales of models) and represented (how big they are supposed to be). "If" I get an answer maybe we could get closer to a (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Technic C-3P0: My First Impression

Hi, I think I read in here of someone w/ the same strange problem as me: In my Stormtrooper box was a 3P0!! I called lego to tell them of the mistake. I didn't mind this though, since the S.T. looks like...well....CRAP!! :7) Jono (24 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.technic)

Re: Who else wants an AT-AT?

BUT if you go strictly by the fact that the foot of the AT-AT covers the Snowspeeder and take into account the size of the LEGO Snowspeeder. In order to accomplish the AT-AT foot being the right size it would HAVE to be HUGE. This would also support (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Minifig scale!

(...) Yep. "Average" human heights are very interesting. Go over to Asia, and people are shorter than people living in Europe. I was suprised to find that while up in the northeastern US, I was a bit on the tall side of average (6 feet), but a-way (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general)

Re: UCS Inspired Minifig Scale T-65 X-Wing

(...) Great model! I saw the pictures on Brickshelf before you posted here - when I saw the thumbnails I thought it *was* the UCS X-wing. When I opened the pics and saw that it was minifig scale, my jaw just dropped. Excellent job! I look forward to (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general)

Re: Technic C-3P0: My First Impression

(...) Ok. Here is the list: Technic panel #5: 3 gold, 1 silver Technic panel #6: 4 gold Technic panel #7: 1 gold Technic panel #8: 1 gold ribbed hose, 4 studs long: 3 gold, 1 silver ribbed hose, 7 studs long: 1 gold Flex-system tube, 10 studs long: (...)   Re: Who else wants an AT-AT?

(...) I'm not sure that the average minifig would be six feet tall. The women should be a bit shorter than the men (they wear shoes with high heels under the dresses, most likely), let's say that their average is 5 and a half feet tall. There are (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Who else wants an AT-AT?

(...) It's certainly been suggested that there are multiple varieties-- I've heard the following things about what various AT-AT designs carry for transport: - 40 troops & 5 speeder bikes - can be outfitted to carry "more" speeder bikes - can store (...)   Re: Who else wants an AT-AT?

Here's a thought, maybe there are several different sizes of AT-AT based on purpose. A larger 80ft one that contains vehicles and a smaller 50ft version that is a people transport. Just a thought. I know the books say otherwise, but maybe the books (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Who else wants an AT-AT?

(...) A more refined guess: 80' - 96' (...) I checked snowspeeder length a bit more closely. They're about 16 feet long, +/- a foot. So revamp that guess to 60' - 68' (a little over in each case). (...) I still agree with this 60' - 93' measurement, (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Who else wants an AT-AT?

(...) Well I do agree that 50' would just seem too small. The version I made at (URL) Is slightly smaller than minifig scale and according to the stud height, it's over 50'. (And if you look at my picture, don't rag on me about the head, I know it's (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Technic C-3P0: My First Impression

(...) Can you provide a list of what parts you do get in the gold/silver color? (24 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.technic)

Re: Who else wants an AT-AT?

(...) Forgive me if I sound like I'm ranting about the size of the AT-AT... It's really not all THAT important-- and I'm SURE if we actually measured the models used in the movies, got the distance to camera of the filming of the little luke (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: UCS Inspired Minifig Scale T-65 X-Wing

After several weeks, I'm still trying to assemble the parts to replicate your MotoTek Shiva (great model - looks like it belongs in Neo-Tokyo from the movie Akira). I accidently (...)
