Jon, Great choice of pic to cap the .space sidebar! Really touches me. I remember the day this happened 16 years ago today, the day after my 20th birthday; three Apollo astronauts died on the day I was born, too. Really makes you stop and think (...) (22 years ago, 29-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: It's time to party at the Moonbase

Boy, you've really raised the bar on this one Adrian. This takes the moonbase beyond mere Lego models into pure Art. In a way I miss all the external activity you've put in your other modules, but in this one they'd only distract me from the pure (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) Nifty! The support columns are really a marvel of engineering. I'd love to see more mechanized moonbase modules. Welcome back to space. Once the claws are in you, you won't be able to escape. Adrian -- (URL) (22 years ago, 21-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) build for a moonbase, the blue-gray truss pattern kept popping into my mind. I thought of it as a futuristic/industrial style, perhaps reminiscent of old sci-fi movies. Then I envisaged a 4-column arrangement with a landing pad on top. That (...) (22 years ago, 21-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) Heh heh - it's the moonbase equivalent of a trailer home! I can just picture a german shepherd wearing a space helmet and sleeping under the corridor attachment. Cool. Jeff J (22 years ago, 14-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Mini Star Wars and the Moonbase Project

What happens when you cross the mini Star Wars sets with the Moonbase Project? Duh. The mini-Moonbase, of course. (URL) was stuck away from home for a while, but luckily I had one of each of the mini-SW sets to keep me company. After piling all of (...) Unfortunately, they point right down the moonbase corridors, so you can imagine what the noise was like for the neighbors before the sound shields were put up :) The architectural concept for (...)   Re: Moonbase Corridor 2.0 ?

Markham, I remember this, and still think it a useful idea. I think the concensus at the time was to let the moonbase idea gel a little before modifying the original concept, then maybe later consider modifications. It's later. I think it's a worthy (...) It's about time to start thinking about the Brickfest Moonbase. NWBCon had around 40 Modules for the first ever Fest Moonbase display....and I'm thinking Brickfest can *at least* match that. This might be good for corridors where equipment runs through, but I think it takes up a lot of real estate for minifig use.
