thank you kindly. I considered making it bigger, possibly large enough to
take up a module on it's own, so it could dock in the center of a base, but
I decided that was a bit much. (not to mention it'd put too much strain on
the surrounding modules, since I haven't built a landing base for it yet...)
I'm proud of the cockpit, it took me a while to get it right, but it came
out how I hoped (cozy like a coffin, that is)
I wish I could say the Red stripes were a decision I arrived at after much
thought, but Grey and Red are the only colors I have in enough quantity to
do much of anything with (though I have plenty of black plates), and the
yellowed bricks, likewise, are there because the bulk of my collection dates
to the days of the yellow boxes, and they've not been exceedingly well taken
care of (they spent a long time in one huge bin, then in several sorted by
color, and now they're mostly in one 60 gallon tub (I only have 18 gallons
("only" 18 gallons of lego, sheesh, somebody smack me) available to me right
now... there's a surprising lack of color in all that, though))

| Hey, that's a neat MOC. I love the boxiness of this ship-it works just right, yet using the thrusters and the black reccesed top stops it from looking like a big rectangle. And the choice of a cockpit is a good one. The red stripes are a nice touch, (...) (22 years ago, 9-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)
