Ok I've been throwing this around for a while now and would like to get
it up and running. I want to make a site specifically for links to large
mini fig scale lego space ship Mocs out there. I want to keep it simple.I'm
thinking it will be designed something like this. The main page should have
an alphabetized text list with links within the site to individual pages
with 1 picture of the ship. I'm thinking around the 320 x 240 range. These
individual pages will of course have a link to the site with the ship but I
think that I could also include some facts or stats or a brief description
as well.
I'm thinking that a ship should have a minimum length of about 60 studs.
General mass and large size will be good too. Like if the ship is large but
is tall or wide instead of long.
What do you think? If I make this-- It might even go up tonight--I would
ask that participants send me there favorite picture of their ship
(complete or incomplete) probably no larger than 320 by 240. Also the link
to the site and a text description.
Some things I would like some feed back on:
-Do you think the main list should also have small thumbnails next to the
links within the site?
-If this gets going I'd like to make a specific section for
nano/microfig large ships. Any ship that is designed as a capital size. What
do you think?
-Also, later I would love to make a section for large space land
vehicles. Like anything bigger than the 6989 Mega Core Magnetizer. Maybe
this section could just be for non flying vehicles. I'd love to see some
large aquazone subs in here too.
-Another section idea would be large bases.
-I might even consider an area with links to massive mecha.
-Lastly I'm still excited about the idea of space world (or whatever its
called) and would love to make this site compatible with that idea. for
instance the site could have a shipyard/station/diner theme with stats of
all the ships that have docked there.
Anyway I'm sure there is more I can't think of now.
Please tell me what you think!!
Jon

| Ah if only I could attach space engines to my Cruise Ship... It sounds like a good idea though, and for a while now I have been searching the web for large Lego Mini-figure capital space ship designs (Hint of what's coming up with my models in the (...) (24 years ago, 3-Oct-00, to lugnet.space)

| Another area I'd love feedback on: What should this site be called? Since this will be a community thing I'd like the name to be picked more or less by the community. Where I started was "The Ship Yards". This name is in the right direction but I (...) (24 years ago, 3-Oct-00, to lugnet.space)

| (...) 60 studs? That's kind of short, IMO. For instance, of the ships on my website, the Mithrandir is the only one I'd consider to be a "capital" ship, and a small one at that. Some of my other ships are more than 60 studs long, and certainly not (...) (24 years ago, 3-Oct-00, to lugnet.space)
