I kicked this idea around a while back. What I came up with was that a
wider corridor had to be set back one space on the baseplate in order to
accomodate a 1 brick thick adapter back the standard width. Two 8 wide
corridors would just need a two brick wide connector to link them together.
Here's a pic of a wide corridor like Markham's

Here's an adapter from the wider corridor to standard

Here's a coupler to link 2 Wide Corridor

I think the corridors Markham came up with are perfect. With them
Minifigs can pass small vehicle fit and you can also make good
module-interconnects.
The Cube I ldrew is the intersection of 4 of markham's corridors
You'll notice that it fits nicely on 16x16 base plate and
will also accomodate 32x32 and 48x48

Here's a module interconnector built from the cubes above
and the adapters I mentioned

It mates with 4 standard moonbase modules, but
internally (epecially at the center) minifigs can walk past each
other.

| Jason, A few of your .DAT files seem to be missing this file > "flngwd10.dat" Your corridor concepts are very interesting and I would like to take a deeper look at the details. Can you please post or please email me when this file is available. (...) (21 years ago, 5-Sep-03, to lugnet.space)
