I agree. I think the 6 wide (4 wide interior) is good enough. Yeah, two
minifigs cant walk abreast down the hallway, but so what? To me, this all
falls into the camp of a real minifigs head is wider than his chest - we
arent detailing 100% perfect models here.
Its lego.. there is a give and take between realism and aesthetics.. i think
the six wide corridor looks best.

I think the real issue is moving equipment larger than minifigs between modules.
Cargo pallets, spacey forklifts, etc.
