This is somewhat off-topic for this group, but it is space related. I went to see Mission to Mars last night and found it to be one of the worst movies I've seen in a LONG time. The story line was generic and predictable. The dialogue was cheesy. (...) (24 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.space)

Wow. If you disliked this movie for some of the reasons you listed - then why do you go see anything on the bid screen that is SciFi? They all seem to have these 'type' problems. The movie is actually pretty decent in my opinion... EC (24 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.space)

Well, I saw the movie on Friday as well, and it was really bad. I saw the young actor, who was in sliders, on Fox news Thursday, after my surgery, and he said it was endorsed by NASA, and there wasn't any silly sci-fi stuff in it. Last time I (...) (24 years ago, 13-Mar-00, to lugnet.space)

I saw it with two friends (who happen to be professional [and _published_] Sci- Fi writers), and we ragged on the movie the entire way through. (We saw it at a local brew/bar-theatre, so that didn't help any.) Most of the people around us were (...) (24 years ago, 13-Mar-00, to lugnet.space)
