Oh well, to much rambling... On a final thought, go to your local library
and pick up a copy of "The Millennial Project" by Marshall T. Savage. The • ideas
outlined in this book make to much sense, and while your at it, check out
http://www.millennial.org/ It's interesting, but not as interesting as the
book. (Hmm... this is getting a little to off topic, why am I even posting it
at all?)

Would that be "How to colonize the Universe in 7 easy steps"? At least I think
it was 7 steps. I have it and have read it. I have a couple of issues with what
he has to say, but overall I would have to agree with you. I wish NASA (or some
other up and coming space agency) would get their act together and start a more
agressive space program. Why is it that we landed on the moon 30 years ago, but
haven't been back since?

Well, I saw the movie on Friday as well, and it was really bad. I saw the young actor, who was in sliders, on Fox news Thursday, after my surgery, and he said it was endorsed by NASA, and there wasn't any silly sci-fi stuff in it. Last time I (...) (25 years ago, 13-Mar-00, to lugnet.space)

(...) The United States was in a race with the Soviet Union for bragging rights. The USA landed on the Moon first, thereby winning the pi**ing contest. The USSR bowed out of any further space competitions (in fact, claiming that a manned moon (...) (25 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.space)

(...) Hmm... I kinda expected this exact outcome, from the very first preview. It just gave off plain old bad vibe's. But what really got to me was NASA's role in the movie. NASA, in my eye's, is a very sad sight indeed. NASA's plight to propel (...) (25 years ago, 13-Mar-00, to lugnet.space)
