Well, I for one did not realize there even was such a Castle vs Space rift
around here. I happen to like Space, Castle, and even Town and Trains, and an
occasional Pirate or Wild West set is okay too. Because of the nature of my
latest big project, I have been leaning towards Castle and reading fewer posts
to .space.
...But I gotta say, when I saw the now-debated picture, I found it quite
humorous indeed. I took it with a grain of salt, tongue-in-cheek, and all
that. I don't think there should be anything wrong with poking a little fun at
themes you don't like as much -heck how many of us have posted jokes that
insult themes like Jack Stone, Bellville, or Bionicle (the latter of which is
interesting in that for all the complaints, they sure seem to be popular among
posts to Brickshelf). If the Castle folks really have a problem with the
image, perhaps they can rebut with one of their own (I suddenly picture the
original pic reduced down with a super-giant Lego Dragon eating the
small space-guy while he crushes the miniature castle...). :)
My 2 Bricks,
-Hendo
