| The motor handler is only called once ever 2ms in the latest version of BrickOS (as opposed to every 1ms in earlier versions). | I have found the solution myself (and with the help of the Mindstorms Forum): Edit -> Preferences -> Compiler C/C++/Pascal Here you have to set the right paths. The OS root was wrong. (At me) It has to be /brickos and not /brickos-0.2.6.09.newConf2 (...) (20 years ago, 11-Apr-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Are you saying that with the OS root set to \brickos compiling works for some programs but not for others or are you saying that with BricxCC installed on one computer it works with (...) | Theresa, (...) cygwin. (...) What version of cygwin? If you are using Cygwin B20 you should upgrade. I don't have his book so I don't know his directions. | (...) Hello, I think it's really hard to install brickOS on XP cause Cygwin is on a dos base (no ?) and XP have no DOS (only emule). | I hate to see questions go unanswered. Steve H replied to me saying it took him 12 hours under these conditions, and now that I have done it I can say it took my P233 laptop a full 24 hours to install brickOS under Paolo's instructions. | Yesterday, I replaced the two installers I have up on my bricxcc.sourceforge.net site with slightly modified versions. The new installers contain a new cross compiler which I built from 2.95.2 myself (rather than the one Hitachi provided some time (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| So far I have heard from two people who have successfully used brickOS with BricxCC. I'm interested in whether anyone else has tried using BricxCC to edit/compile/download programs to brickOS.
