| I just finished a PIC16F84A application which receives IR commands from the RCX or RCX remote control, saves them and transmits another command back again. | hi Ralph, I think I'm lucky. I just did some experiments with a modified IR-tower. The modifications were: the "keep alive trick" from John Barnes and my own trick to add a few more diodes to get rid of the 9V battery. Without a batttery in the (...) | Hi Johnathan, Aside from some very minor changes in the parts and the RIS software, the only difference between kits is the RCX 1.0 has an AC jack, which comes in handy for stationary robots like robotic arms or sorting machines.
