  Re: communication with USB on Linux

(...) Probably not. (...) You can keep it, just install the new one in a different directory and make sure you don't use the old one (change LEJOS_HOME and PATH). Jürgen (20 years ago, 13-Feb-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java)

  communication brick <-> PC

Hi there ! I've got a question concerning ir communication with the brick ... After having done some low-level debugging to make a self-written programm communicate with my brick using the IR tower, I'd like to make my programm control the brick. (...) Hi! I'm working on a final year CS project which involves getting a lego robot to explore and map its maze-like environment, locate start and finish markers, then run between them. This is working pretty well, but I'd like to be able to download the (...) (24 years ago, 28-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

(...) Although you may not be using BricxCC to compile your leJOS code I think it might be instructive to describe how BricxCC manages to compile leJOS code properly. The way BricxCC works with leJOS is to create a very simple makefile that launches (...) (20 years ago, 6-Feb-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Place the activated roboball right in front of the robot and take light readings as the robot moves backwards. This can be done manually or (...)   Re: XCam2 as replace for Vision Command?

Apparently it only works with the Lego cam. Using any other camera (USB or not) will not work as several people here tried it already. I have both the lego camera and the XCam2. XCam2 is great as long as you have plenty of light! Otherwise, the (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

(...) We have worked with a big chart with black crosses on a white wooden surface. This works pretty well, since with the reflection of the light of the LED, black and white can be easily recognised. Then the ambient light has not a big influence. (...) I have been fiddling with serial interrupts with little success. Today I finally figured out that interrupts are masked in the CCR until you run the word RCX_INIT.
