| | Re: Call for debugging support
|
| Hello Martin, pthreads and select sound fairly portable. And, as I mentioned before, there's a way of having Windows dispatch asynchronous serial events to programs, so work on porting would be fairly localized. The library approach has one serious (...) | | Re: Can't open serial port in Linux

| Hi. I just got through fixing a similar problem with my linux box (the fix involved a lot of tedious changing IRQ's in the BIOS, with a lot of tedious rebooting in between). Beyond Dave's good advice, you might want to check out the linux serial (...) (25 years ago, 30-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

| Hi, guys. I've got legOS compiled and running pretty happily on a redhat 6.0 and a 6.1 machine, after some fussing with settings, i've figured out that it wants to use /dev/ttyS1 for the serial port... however, once the firmware is downloaded, i (...) | | legOS IR comm and debugging tools
|
| Hello, as I begin to appearch dangerously the 32 variables limit of nqc on a current project, I have started to approach LegOS. After some apparently common problems, I managed to compile the h8300 programs and compile legOS 0.2.2. The demos work as (...) (25 years ago, 22-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| Hi Pavel, check out the program loader. Basically, you have to register your own port handler for incoming packets on the PC. You should also acknowledge them in some way, so the RCX knows what's going on. Maybe IR networking should become secure. (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)
