  Re: Another pcode_hb.s19 Downloading Problem

if using DLM, the proper switches are: dlm -ns -256 plus your COM port. make sure you are running in DOS, not a DOS shell. If using Windows, use HBDL.EXE. Fred In your message you said: (...) (27 years ago, 17-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: pcode_hb download problem. Please Help me.

Your problem appears to be the LCD module. (Strange I know) From the output in your message I would say that the PCODE was successfully downloaded but IC won't run if the LCD is either not connected or not working. This is because it trys to (...) (27 years ago, 16-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Tone generator questions

hello. I'm reading through the Robot builders bonanza, and I'm on pp.266. On the bottom of the page (fig. 30-16), there is a tone generator that will generate 2 ones. As printed, theres a chip (4071) that limits only one of the tone jenerators to (...) (27 years ago, 16-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

I know that the cable works because a person I know has used the modem cable succesfully with their handyboard. Also, I have done a continuity check on the wires in the cable and comparred them to what Apple says is a modem cable, and it is (...) (27 years ago, 15-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Downloading Problems

1. don't worry about the slightly out of spec voltages, +/- 5% is just not a problem. 2. you have already demonstrated that your board HW is OK by communicating from a Windows system. therefore 3. it is probably a cabling problem from your mac. you (...)   Downloading Problems

Hello all, I am in the process of building my Handyboard. I have installed the CPU and some of the voltages seem suspect.   Re: Vision

  Downloaders and Stuff

I just finished building a handboard. I have found that the downloaders dl and dlm don't work in Windows 95, even if I reboot in DOS mode.   Re: Handy Board Problems

after you download the S19 code, does your C program in the HB go away? i.e., whether or not you hold down start, your HB boots up with the IC message on the LCD? If NOT, then your downloader isn't communicating with your board either. Did your (...) (27 years ago, 11-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Vision

In the early 80's Micron Technology (Idaho, USA) made chips specially designed for this, I suspect they still do.
